Building a smart home can be a daunting task, but a pre-Black Friday deal from Target makes getting started with Google’s system very easy. With the purchase of a $50 Nest Mini (the smallest Google Home device formerly known as the Home Mini), Target will also throw in a free Belkin WeMo Mini smart plug. This is all you need to make basically any appliance voice-controlled by plugging it into the WeMo and controlling that with the Nest Mini.
The one limit is the maximum power of the WeMo Mini plug, which tops out at 15 amps, 1800 Watts at 120 volts, so check any high-power appliances before you go through with your plans.
