Now at Nordstrom, you can save 33 percent on cult-favorite sweatshirts and sweatpants from Camp High. The much-hyped knits feature art from Matt McCormick and start at $155. The fact that these are even on sale is a surprise — McCormick’s own merch usually sells out instantly and Camp High’s knits are ridiculously hard to get ahold of.
Camp High, the knitwear brand co-founded by Greg Dacyshyn and Greg Johnsen, offers some of the wildest basics available. Dacyshyn worked at Burton for over 20 years, working his way from an entry-level position to Chief Creative Officer where he set the design standard for the snowboard industry and collaborated with everyone from Danner to Neighborhood to Led Zeppelin to the Andy Warhol Foundation. Johnsen worked as buyer for Union, designed for Supreme and Stussy and founded Situationnormal in 1996 (he was also the Creative Director for Lotto North America and he opened the LA cap boutique Hall of Fame).
Previous releases featured wild designs inspired by various trips, among other things. A scorpion, mushroom, cobra and tigers adorned one crew neck, while an oversize hoodie is emblazoned with a huge yin-yang symbol.
The Matt McCormick collab showcases McCormick’s Western art — cacti, horses, sunsets — and a few hand-written phrases. If you want to score this much-hyped collection at a great price, act fast before it sells out.
