Samsung’s newest and most innovative desktop monitor, the Space Monitor, is on sale right now and you should really think about buying one. You can buy a 27-inch monitor, which normally costs $400, for $240 on Amazon. If you want the larger 31.5-inch model, which is normally $500, Amazon has slashed off $170 of its price, too.
The neat thing with the Space Monitor is that it’s a monitor designed to save you desk space; instead of having a traditional base, it has a clamp that latches onto the side of your desk; this means the monitor actually takes up zero desk space, leaving more room for your keyboard, mouse and actual work things, and thus hopefully helping you to be more organized and more productive. The Space Monitor also has a movable arm that lets you pull the screen out and tilt it so you get the ideal viewing angle for you.
As for an actual display, the Space Monitor will be more than good enough for most people. The 27-inch model has a QHD display while the 32-inch model has a 4K UHD display. If there’s a major catch, it’s that the Space Monitor only has two ports, one HDMI and one Mini DisplayPort, meaning you’ll need a USB-C dongle if you want to connect it to any of the newest laptops.
