While tons of Seiko 5s have come across our desks, ones that feature a “countdown” bezel are rarer. Unlike a traditional “count-up” elapsed-time bezel on a dive watch, a countdown bezel is used to show how much time is remaining in an event — one simply rotates the bezel until the amount of time remaining aligns with the minute hand, and then it’s easy to track how much time is left.
The Seiko 5 SRPBX series is being offered on Drop in 3 styles for $149, or 62% off its MSRP of $395. The SRPB features a stainless steel 42mm case with 100m of water resistance, the automatic Seiko 4R36 movement with 41-hour power reserve, a date window at 4:30, a Hardlex crystal and a matching steel bracelet with fold-over clasp.
The 3 watches available have either a blue dial and blue bezel; a black dial and black bezel; or a black dial with steel bezel (-$10).

A note on Drop:
Drop is not like other online retailers. It’s a members-only site that requires signing up (all it takes is an email address). If you’re not a member, you can sign up here. When you place an order from Drop at a discounted price, you’re not buying from them directly. The site works by taking orders from consumers, then bulk ordering product at a discount directly from brands and other wholesalers. For more information on how Drop works, click here.
