Design Within Reach blends the lines between museum and retailer. During DWR’s Semi-Annual Sale, works from all of these names (and a lot more) are discounted by 15 percent. That might seem modest, but given the sticker price of some of these items, savings can be in the hundreds. And that makes this an exceptional opportunity for the design-minded buyer. The retailer is also running an outdoor sale at the same time, featuring discounts of up to 30 percent.

Choice pickups include things ranging from the Jarvis Standing Desk ($137 off) to Wegner’s famous Wishbone chair (down to $540 from $635), the Nelson Ball Clock (down to $391 from $460) and loads of gear from Hay, including some office-friendly task chairs. Both sales run until September 21, but with deals this good, a lot of the best stuff may very well sell out before then.
