The Bose SoundSport Free ($200 $170) are the company’s first-and-only true wireless earbuds. And they’re great, especially if for people who like the sound signature of Bose and if the company’s StayHear+ Sport eartips, which Bose uses in all its in-ear headphones, fit in your ears. The other neat thing about the SoundSport Free is that they’re water resistant (IPX4) – unlike AirPods – so you shouldn’t fear working out in them or wearing them in the rain.

It should be noted that, like AirPods, these Bose earbuds have been around for almost two years and Bose is probably due for an update sometime in the near future. That said, when they were first announced the Bose SoundSport Free were going for $250, but a few months ago Bose dropped the price to $200. Now the company seems to have permanently dropped the price again to $170. Obviously, the new price puts the SoundSport Free more in the competitive sweet spot with other true wireless earbuds, like the AirPods ($159) and Jabra Elite Active 65t ($190), but it’s definitely a good price for anybody looking for a sport-focused true wireless earbud.
