Since 1924, the British brand Belstaff has made a name for itself by making durable outerwear for motorcycle riders and adventurers. The brand was the first to use waxed cotton fabric in motorcycle jackets, setting the standard for the industry. Staying true to its roots, Belstaff still uses water-repellent 6-ounce waxed cotton in its jackets. If you’re not a motorcycle rider, a great style for everyday wear is the Explorer, a field jacket with four front flap pockets. The jacket has a hidden zipper, a high neck with a packable hood and a viscose lining. Normally $795, it’s now 30 percent off at East Dane and costs $557. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely timeless — Belstaff’s styles and materials still stand up after over nine decades in business.
