Nike has had quite the year of new sneaker releases: the Epic React, Pegasus 35, Zoom Vaporfly 4% and Zoom Fly Flyknit just to name a few. The running sneaker powerhouse continues to pump out new and improved sneakers that keep winning marathons. Eliud Kipchoge ran a new world record in the Zoom Vaporfly 4% sneakers further adding to the shoe’s lore.
I’ve run in both the Epic React and Pegasus 35 this year and can’t recommend them enough. Both the Epic React and Pegasus 35 were designed with athletes in mind. Everything from the foam combination to the design of the heel collar was inspected and thought through with elite runners. If you need a more supportive ride, the Pegasus 35 is for you, especially if you have any Achilles issues. The heel collar pops back and is higher — thanks to input from Mo Farah. I pick this sneaker up for days when my runs are on the longer side.
The Epic React sneaker is the pair I reach for when I’m trying to stick to a tempo pace or hitting the track for some 300-meter repeats. It’s also the shoe I wore to race in a 5K earlier this spring — and it was bouncy, light and soft all at once. These also make great travel shoes if you’re on your feet all day long.
Both pairs of running shoes are on sale today for $35 off in certain colorways. The sizing options are pretty varied, so check them out while you can.
