There are end-of-season clearance sales, when retailers of all descriptions literally clear out their warehouses to make room for new products. And then there’s Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, which is just a whole other level of awesome.
Every year, the Seattle-based retailer puts some of its choicest merchandise on sale for a limited time (this year, it’s open to the public from July 20 to August 5). Instead of keeping everything on sale until it all sells out, the store brings prices back up once the sale ends. And that’s because the products that get discounted can include the kinds of things you never find on sale, like luggage from Tumi, shirts from the iconic Swedish brand Eton, and denim from Levi’s higher-end Made and Crafted brand.
