While Casio’s G-Shock line gets all the credit for being tough and functional, Casio’s lesser-known Pro Trek line does much of the same and is home to many features made for the outdoor crowd. Take the Pro Trek PRW6000Y-1A. In addition to its solar-charging and atomic-timekeeping capabilities (which automatically adjusts the time in reference to atomic clock signals), it has an altimeter, a barometer and a compass, which are functions perfect for mountaineers and hikers. There’s even a chronograph that records times to within 1/100 of a second. While the watch retails for $600 (according to the Casio website) you can get it now for just $214.
