When Morakniv first revealed the Eldris, we were skeptical; we even made jokes, likening it to “a consumer model shiv.” We’ve had it in our hands since then, and we no longer question the practicality of the little blade — it seems that the 127-year-old Swedish knifemaker knows what it’s doing. The Eldris is small enough to carry in your pocket or even around your neck with a lanyard for easy-access. Its steel is Sandvik 12C27, which is lauded for its excellent balance of hardness, toughness and corrosion resistance. That the blade is short means that it’s highly-maneuverable, which makes it an awesome companion for outdoor pursuits.
