With over 100 million tracks that you can listen to with lossless or CD quality (16-bit/44.1kHz), or even higher resolution (up to 24-bit/192kHz), Apple Music might be the best way to listen to music if you’re an audiophile. Not only that, it’s got a number of key features that make it an essential subscription for Apple fans.

Unfortunately, you can normally only get one month for free to try it out, a period that probably isn’t long enough to get the whole picture. Until August 21 though, Apple is offering the chance to extend the free trial to three months. Click through our link below and you can use the service until mid-November for $0. That’s long enough to really put it to the test — some of us here will be doing our own personal research, pitting it against Spotify for the next three months.

Beyond lossless and hi-res audio, there are a number of reasons to subscribe to Apple Music over other music services. Apple Music supports spatial audio, Apple’s proprietary immersive sound technology, which enhances your experience when using AirPods or a HomePod. And if you do have HomePods, you won’t be able to use voice commands via Siri to request songs without Apple Music, so this is a key way to get the full Apple experience.

Whether you’re an Apple completist or not, taking advantage of this deal is a great way to see if you’re missing something by using a service other than Apple Music. Who knows? You might find your new favorite app.
