You already know that the thermoses and mugs produced by Stanley are high quality, but did you know that Stanley — as in William Stanley Jr. — invented the vacuum bottle in 1913? (He also patented an early version of the electric transformer and used it to light up Main Street in a small Massachusetts town.)
