The Barcelona Chair isn’t just icon of modern furniture design, but modern design writ large — and we won’t say $900 off makes it a no-brainer pick-up, but it definitely doesn’t hurt.
Made to the same specifications today as it was in its heyday, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s 1929 piece was originally made to seat the king and queen of Spain at an event in Barcelona. The legs and frame are hand-buffed chrome, and the seat and cushion itself is a combination of Spinneybeck Volo cowhide and cowhide belting straps.
The Barcelona Chair, its accompanying stool, couch and more than 200 other items are part of DWR Dining and Knoll sale going on right now.
