The crew at Australia’s Deus Ex Machina have been cranking out a wide variety of cool motorcycles, riding gear and bike-inspired apparel for a while, but now, they’re branching out into a new realm of gear aimed at those who enjoy life sitting above two wheels and an engine: sunglasses.
Deus Eyewear, as the new line of shades is called, features a selection of classic sunglasses all made in Japan, featuring slightly-oversized frames made of 100% takiron acetate and straight temples that make for an easier fit when wearing a helmet. CR-39 lenses block out huge swaths of UV light while resisting scratching like a champ. In order to make sure your shades stay nice well into that bright future you bought them to wear into, every pair comes with a polishing cloth, an oilskin and leather case and a black steel pop fastener. The company also claims the frames are “ergonomically designed specifically for humans,” so any time-traveling T-800s seeking to cover up their exposed robotic eyes should look elsewhere.
The Deus Eyewear shades currently come in two different styles, dubbed Dunstall and Brockhouse, as well as a variety of different lens shades and frame colors. No matter how you like them, though, the price remains the same: $265.
