Here at GP, we have long been fans of Zero Motorcycles, which has been leading innovation in the electric moto space for damn near 20 years. Among the Santa Cruz-based brand’s groundbreaking highlights are the street-centric SR/F, a 2019 GP100 selection, and the off-road-ready DSR/X, a 2022 pick.
But as Zero launches its 2024 model year line, something different jumps out: affordability. Because among the eight shiny releases, the new S makes urban riding more wallet-friendly than ever, while the new DS does the same for off-roading fans. Here’s the scoop on those two bikes as well as the new DSR, a big step up from the DS that’s still $3,000 cheaper than the DSR/X.
Zero S: Street Fleek on the Cheap

The new Model S boasts the best battery value yet — 14.4 kWh for less than $15,000 ($5,500 less than Zero’s flagship naked bike, the SR/F). That’s twice the capacity of its predecessor, fueling an all-new motor delivering 68 hp at 4,500 rpm, plus 97 ft-lbs of torque, a top speed of 104 mph and a city range of 154 miles.
