Stuart Parr has a lot going for him. He manages Eminem’s film career, he’s designed a couple houses, he owns trademarks for mid-’30s design heroes Jean-Michel Frank and Warren MacArthur and he represents industrial design maven Marc Newson (presumably why he ended up in this awesome picture, pulling up to Art Basel on one of Newson’s custom Aquarivas). Oh, and he also has an unbelievable collection of ’70s Italian motorcycles.
Luckily for us (and you), 26 motorcycles from Parr’s amazing collection are on display from now until July 18th in the heart of New York City in an exhibition dubbed The Art of The Italian Two Wheel. Among the selection of Ducatis, MV Agustas, Laverdas and Magnis are some of the rarest and most beautiful bikes ever to be produced. Highlights include The Ducati 750 Super Sport and a handful of MV Agustas featuring MV’s amazing four-cylinder engine. We spent a couple hours gawking at and photographing the amazing collection.
