The annual Los Angeles Auto Show — or, as its organizers like to call it now, Automobility LA — remains one of the marquee events on the American automotive calendar. The 2023 show is going on this week, and while the show may not be as big as it used to be, several automakers revealed new cars during the L.A. show or alongside the event.

Here are five new cars that dropped in Los Angeles that we’re particularly looking forward to driving when they hit the streets next year.

The 2025 Subaru Forester

As predicted, Subaru took the wraps off a new generation of the Forester at the L.A. Auto Show. It’s not a huge change — the chassis is a bit stiffer, there’s a larger touchscreen, the design is revised — but it’s still very clearly a Forester. (Considering how successful the model has been for Subaru, we’re not shocked that the changes are mild, not wild.) A bigger change should arrive next year, when the Forester will become available as a hybrid for the first time.

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N

Hyundai won a World Car of the Year award with the Ioniq 5 SUV which looks a lot like a hatchback. Hyundai has a fire-breathing Ioniq 5 N hot-hatch version on tap for 2025. We’ve seen it already abroad, but Hyundai revealed the U.S.-spec version for the first time in L.A. The brand also revealed it packs 641 horsepower, an aggressive body, and a whole bunch of performance features with unnecessary “N” prefixes (N Pedal, N Drift Optimizer, N Launch Control, etc.). One thing Hyundai hasn’t revealed yet: the estimated range.

The 2025 Toyota Camry

Toyota officially revealed the 2025 Camry just ahead of the 2023 L.A. Auto Show. It comes with a standard hybrid powertrain and optional all-wheel-drive. Sadly, the V6 engine is no more, but the hybrid inline-four does manage to make more power than its rival, the Honda Accord Hybrid.

The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia

Toyota has expanded the Crown to become its own sub-brand in the U.S. with the new Crown Signia crossover. It’s a two-row midsize SUV that only comes with a powertrain, and effectively replaces the Venza.

The 2025 Lucid Gravity

Lucid already has the Air sedan in production. Next up comes the Gravity. It’s a large SUV with up to three rows of seating and a powertrain derived from the Air, delivering a claimed range of 440 miles or more and a starting price of around $80,000. (And, as we’ve come to expect from Lucid, it’s also damn good-looking.)
