Let’s start things off with a quick reminder, for those who may have forgotten (or never cared to learn). The NX is Lexus’s compact luxury crossover, which the brand introduced it back in 2014. It slots between the smaller UX and larger RX SUVs. The NX is Lexus’s second best-selling car, after the RX.
For this review, I drove the 2022 NX 350 AWD (one rung up from the base model), which uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four putting out 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.
Is the 2022 Lexus NX new?

Affirmative. The second-generation Lexus NX is all-new for the 2022 model year, and moves to the Toyota New Global Architecture platform.
Why is the new NX special?

Lexus is in the midst of overhauling its aging SUV lineup. The NX is the first car to get that treatment (and the new LX the second), offering a preview of what we’re going to get on other vehicles. New features include an array of combustion, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, an all-new infotainment system and more restrained exterior styling.
