The world today is blessed with a plethora of fast cars. Even discounting all those speed machines that came before but can still be found on the used car market, it’s safe to say that today’s car buyers have never had a better spread of options when it comes to putting something peppy in their driveway. These days, a Honda Accord is about as quick as a 30-year-old Corvette or a 15-year-old Ford Mustang GT; a new Corvette bolts from 0-60 miles per hour faster than a Ferrari Enzo did.
Still, even amongst today’s increasingly wild cars…the McLaren 765LT manages to stand out.
The McLaren 765LT is made to rip tracks apart

Granted, every modern McLaren is quick. Even the ostensibly comfort-minded GT can vault from a stop to 60 mph in a shade over three seconds; even the new base model Artura spins up a total of 670 horses.
The 765LT takes acceleration to another level, though. Car and Driver and their magazine ilk haven’t run tests on it yet, but the folks at DragTimes have. On stock tires, the 765LT does 0-60 miles per hour in 2.16 seconds. 0-100 mph in 4.4. Give it the full gas for 9.26 seconds, and you’ll be going 150 miles per hour. And keep in mind, unlike accelerative mavens like the Porsche 911 Turbo S and Tesla Model S Plaid, the McLaren does this with just two driven wheels.
