The new car price squeeze that has afflicted the market for the last few years is slowly improving, as pandemic-related supply chain issues resolve and dealer inventory improves. But buyers are still paying more than seven percent above MSRP on average. While there are deals to be found, other cars are still subject to particularly steep markups.
Consumer Reports crunched the data to find the worst deals on new cars right now, looking at vehicles facing the highest average markups above MSRP. The vehicles below each have an average markup of 10 percent or higher.
