Sand people rejoice. The Mopar Customized Jeep Wrangler Sand Trooper, originally introduced at SEMA last year, made a prominent appearance at NAIAS today. The beast marks the inception of the off-road division of Mopar and does so with beefy presence. With tires big enough to to float a barge, the Sand Trooper is the kind of overkill that’s welcomed at any dune-scaling party (there’s such a thing, right? Because we’d like to attend one). And in the conquering department? There’s a Hemi V8, which spits out 375 horsepower, along with five extra inches of ground clearance. Most importantly, it hauls four and leaves plenty of room for bug-out bags.
