The Ford Mustang has always been a great value proposition, offering an impressive amount of sports car power and performance at an affordable price. Right now, dealers are trying to move 2019 Mustang models off their lots — and as a result, offering jaw-dropping discounts of $10,000 or more on both turbocharged EcoBoost and V8-powered GT Mustang models.
If rolling in a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-pot doesn’t bother you — and it shouldn’t, as it’s a dynamo of a little engine — some dealers are listing brand-new 2019 examples for less than $20,000. This dealer in Florida is offering a 10-speed automatic version for just $18,465. Another dealer has a six-speed manual listed for $18,750. Again: these are brand-new, never-titled 310-horsepower Mustangs for less than $20,000.
If you need the 460 hp 5.0-liter V8 GT Mustang, you can find great deals on that, too. Some 2019 models with MSRPs above $40,000 are on sale for less than $30,000. That aforementioned dealer in Florida has a 2019 GT with a manual listed for $28,359. Another dealer in Georgia is selling a Mustang GT for $28,509. Here’s yet another in Virginia, on sale for $28,749.
Ford also has coronavirus-relief related incentives that could sweeten the deal even further. Ford’s “Built to Lend a Hand” program is offering six months of payment relief to eligible new car buyers. Through the end of March, Ford is also offering 0 percent APR financing for up to 84 months on 2019 model vehicles. That said, according to Cars Direct, that financing deal is a stand-alone offer not pair-able with other cash incentives, so you probably can’t get 0 percent financing on your $18,000 Mustang. (Still, it never hurts to ask, right?)
