The FJ Company builds some of the finest resto-modded Toyota Land Cruisers on the market. The company’s latest build, the Signature G45-S, is painted in light olive with an alluring brown leather interior, paying tribute to the long-wheelbase FJ45 Troopy. With a custom four-door conversion, it’s actually quite practical. Oh, and the “S” stands for “supercharger.”

The original truck was a right-hand-drive FJ45 from the 1980s, which FJ Company put through a painstaking restoration and rebuilding process. The designers gave the FJ45 some 1960s and 1970s aesthetic features, a custom dual jerry can holder, and a Warn winch. With room for both a second-row bench and jump seats, the G45-S can hold a significant number of troops or, more likely, civilian passengers.

Mechanical components are more modern than the exterior suggests. The engine is a Toyota 1GR-FE 4.0-liter V6, the same engine used in the current Toyota 4Runner, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The aforementioned Magnuson supercharger bumps the power output to 318 horsepower.

The FJ Company added features not included on the original FJ45, such as power steering, anti-lock brakes, front and rear locking differentials, disc brakes, and modern suspension components. The Signature G45-S also gets modern creature comforts such as Recaro Specialist front seats, wireless phone charging, and wireless Apple Carplay.

How much does this beautiful Land Cruiser cost? Quite a bit. The FJ Company did not give pricing information for this build. But a Signature G40-S built to order on their configurator starts at $220,000. Their Todd Snyder Edition FJ is still on sale on the site for $185,000.
