The 2020 World Car Awards countdown is officially underway.

Jurors announced the 10 finalists at the Delhi Auto Show in Indian, symbolizing the truly international nature of the awards. One of them will be named the World Car of the Year at the New York International Auto Show in April, supplanting last year’s winner.

Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen each have multiple finalists in the running. (True to form, VW reserves its coolest cars for buyers outside the United States.) Below are the 10 finalists — and links to our reviews, where applicable.
