Back in May, we whet your appetite with photos of the Lamborghini LP550-2 Spyder, and we promised you a revisit in a video clip. What you need to know is that even though Lamborghini specializes in their all-wheel-drive setups, the rear-wheel-drive LP550-2 Spyder is perhaps one of the most exciting to drive, largely due to the fantastic horsepower-to-weight ratio (1 horsepower per 6.09 lbs), open air driving and that great push-in-your-back feeling as you mash the throttle. Of course, the standard Gallardo is a more than capable exotic car, and Lamborghini has issued no fewer than eight versions of this monster, this particular iteration feels pretty special. Eliminating the hard top changes the feel of the car by giving you unlimited headroom and unlimited aural access to the marvelous 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 that’s positively ferocious. We get Behind the Wheel in the form of video coverage of this amazing ride.
