Comfortable camping just got cute. French recreational vehicle manufacturer Beauer has launched its 2X camper. A smaller version of their 3X camper, the 2X is a tiny, telescoping, teardrop camping trailer that provides everything a couple would need for a rather intimate outdoor getaway.
When parked, the compact 2X expands in 60 seconds to form a two-room module. There’s a living area with a futon that folds into a double bed and a kitchen with a gas stove, sink, and a small refrigerator. The space between the two areas can be optioned with a full wet bath.
One advantage to this trailer is it weighs just 1,764 pounds. That fells well within the max towing range of many passenger vehicles, so you would not need a big truck or SUV. Another cool feature is that you can customize the base color and complimentary stripe on the trailer’s exterior, as well as the color of the interior trim.
Like many great things camping-related, the 2X is made for Europeans, at least for the moment. Pricing for the 2X in the U.K. starts at £31,995, which is a little more than $41,000.
