The Frankfurt Motor Show is just around the corner, and we’re pretty psyched about it. More toys, more power, more everything. But sometimes, less is more. For example, the all new 2012 Hyundai i30. What you see above you is an early reveal of what the production car should look like, and we’re chomping at the bit in the hopes that it shows up on our shores as a replacement for the rather tepid Elantra Touring. The new i30 a fantastic continuation of the design theme that started with the uber-successful Sonata. The fluidity and styling for an economy hatchback is downright headturning. The very original grill structure and the rakish profile set this car apart from the pack and just might give the new Ford Focus hatchback a solid styling noogie. The complete redesign includes LED daytime running lights and sleek headlamp design and an attractively reworked interior.
More details on the upgraded bits will show up on the podium in Frankfurt. All we know is that we really like what we’re seeing from the Korean automaker. No more rust sleds that only look good being driven off a cliff for Hyundai, that’s for sure.
