Winnebago’s Tiny Camper Van Just Got Way More Capable

Winnebago unveiled the Solis Pocket back in 2021. It was a new, entry-level campervan for Winnebago that — back in 2021 — dropped the price point below $100,000. Winnebago announced a new 36B floor plan for the Solis Pocket, including several key enhancements (that should cost a pretty penny).

The 36B floorplan adds a wet bath

The most significant difference between the Solis and the Solis Pocket has been the latter foregoing a wet bath for a stowable cassette toilet. Opting for the 36B floorplan adds a wet bath at the vehicle’s rear. It includes a shower, built-in sink and medicine cabinet. The toilet is removable, allowing for a bigger shower space or for it to function as a “mud room” for skis, snow suits and other wet gear.

The 36B floorplan also features an eight-way foldable dinette

The rear wet bath prevents Winnebago from putting a normal bed at the rear. That requires some creativity in the middle of the cabin with the 36B floorplan, with a dinette area that can be configured in eight different ways.

The Solis Pocket 36B provides two-person and four-person Dinette Modes. A Travel Mode offers two forward-facing passenger seats for on-road use. Sleep Mode — which Winnebago is counting as one mode — can offer single or double sleeping accommodations. The 36B can also be configured with four Lounge Modes (sofa, front-facing L, rear-facing L, day bed).

The Solis Pocket 36B can also go off-the-grid for up to three days

Winnebago partnered with EcoFlow on a new 5-in-1 power management system for the Solis Pocket 36B. The inverter, shore power converter, battery energy converter, solar energy converter and alternator energy optimizer are combined in one system. It delivers up to 3,600 watts of power and enough juice to spend three days off the grid or run the A/C for five hours under battery power. According to Winnebago, the system also reduces shore power charging time by up to 50 percent.

How much does the Solis Pocket 36B cost?

Winnebago has not revealed pricing yet for the Solis Pocket’s 36B floor plan. But thanks to demand and inflation, the Solis Pocket 36A floorplan has become dramatically more expensive, now starting at $140,375 (a huge hike from 2021’s starting price of $95,736). We can expect the enhanced 36B floorplan to be a jump in price from there.
