Volvo is going all-electric by 2030. And the Swedish brand is broadening its EV lineup. Its fourth EV after the three-row EX90, C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge is called the EX30. Volvo describes the EX30 as a “small premium SUV.” It will be the most sustainably produced Volvo to date. And it offers some eye-popping numbers whether you’re looking at performance or value.
Here is what you need to know about the 2025 Volvo EX30.

How much does the Volvo EX30 cost?
The Volvo EX30 is shockingly affordable, by electric car or Volvo EV standards. The starting price for the single-motor Core model is $34,950 making it one of the cheapest electric cars you can buy. Buyers can level up to Plus ($38,900) and Ultra ($40,600) versions of the single-motor EX30. The dual-motor performance model starts at $44,000 for the Plus and tops out at $46,600 for the Ultra.
For context, the EX30 will start for more than $5,000 less than Volvo’s smallest combustion SUV, the XC40. And the EX30 will top out at around $7,000 less than what had been the cheapest EV, the XC40 Recharge.
