The annual Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival takes place this Thursday through Sunday, smack in the middle of Pennsylvania. And Gear Patrol will be there in a big way. Hundreds of enthusiasts from all around the world will descend on a 200+ acre property to camp out, explore the terrain — rock crawling, dirt paths, open fields, streams and more — and discover all the best in gear. In between excursions to Woolrich Woolen Mill, there will be small-group seminars on everything from photography to first-aid kit know-how and, of course, off-road skill building.
Our big news: Gear Patrol will be rolling in our Mobile Gear Lab — a headquarters outpost packed into a 27-foot Airstream camper. With all the conveniences of a luxury trailer, the Mobile Gear Lab will be a showcase of some of GP’s favorite adventure and outdoor gear, from kayaks and hammocks to watches and apparel, along with solar charging tech, boots, grills and more. Attendees can swing by the Mobile Gear Lab for some jerky, or to sit in some A/C for a few minutes and flip through the latest issue of Gear Patrol Magazine. Or, you can have a closer look at our 4x4s from Jeep and Toyota, a Can-Am side-by-side and Honda’s CRF250 Rally. So long as we’re not on the trails, writers and editors from Gear Patrol will be hanging out, shooting the breeze and talking gear with whoever wants to join.
Free this weekend? Today’s the last day to register online, but you can roll up day-of and purchase a pass if you’re into it.
