Editor’s Note: We love scouring the internet for reasons to spend money we don’t have on cars we daydream about owning, and these are our picks this week. All prices listed are bid amounts at the time of publishing.
A couple things to note here. For one, the Ferrari 456GT is one of the sexiest coupes to ever exist. Additionally, in 90 percent of all scenarios, a manual-transmission car offers a fundamentally better driving experience than an automatic. (Also, while we’re at it, Jurassic Park is one of the top five most important films of all time.) Now, if you don’t agree with those statements, you aren’t necessarily wrong — but you do have bad opinions. Below, five vehicles you should bid on now so that you might choose your own cogs later. Happy bidding.
1995 Ferrari 456GT 6-Speed

Never mind that Nic Cage drove one in Family Man, the formulaic Christmas movie in which Cage roars through Manhattan singing opera. The 456 has such a ’90s shape that you can’t help but want. Regular maintenance, a rumbly exhaust, 550 Maranello wheels and a premium stereo that, yes, will play opera very nicely. The original Canna di Fucile paintwork is partially updated to correct for chips and normal use. Small interior faults aside — like disconnected airbags and a quizzical suspension warning light — what a lovely display case for that beautiful gated shift mechanism.
