Originally set to be made in conjunction with LeEco (before it backed out amid Faraday Future problems), the Aston Martin RapidE super sedan is officially going into production. Although a limited production of only 155 cars will be made, the RapidE will be Aston Martin’s first all-electric car, and possibly one of its most powerful ever.

Production is set for 2019 and the price tag is speculated to sit around $255,000. For that, you get one of Aston’s most advanced cars ever, churning out, according to Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer, “between 800 and 1,000 horsepower.” The downside is that you don’t have that sonorous, glorious V12 up front; but the upshot is that you’ll be leaving all the other Aston V12s in the dust. Plus you’ll be driving past those gas-guzzling V12s in luxurious silence as they stop to top off the tank every hour.

But If Your Intention Is to Burn Fuel…
