If you were to sit down and make a list of the most beloved cars of the last decade, the Cadillac CTS-V station wagon of 2008-2014 would surely rank high on the list — especially in six-speed manual form. The angular two box was practically everything car enthusiasts like: insanely fast, cool-looking, involving and fun to drive, and practical enough to live with and drive every day.
Of course, the things car enthusiasts say they want and the things people who can actually afford high-end speed machines are often at odds. As a result, General Motors only made a handful of CTS-V wagons with stick shifts — which, in turn, means finding one on the used car market can be extraordinarily hard.
Well, if you’ve been holding out hope of finding an example of the ultimate family car to park in your driveway, we’ve got good news: a CTS-V wagon with a manual has just popped up on Bring a Trailer.
Bring a TrailerThe car has about 56,000 miles on the odometer, which seems pretty reasonable, given the car is eight or nine years old. Most of those have been racked up by the seller, who seems to be the second owner and who appears to have taken good care of the car over their six years of ownership; its most recent service was this June, where the oil pressure switch was replaced on top of the usual oil change and inspection.
Bring a TrailerIf you’re interested in taking this bad Caddy home, though, be prepared to pay up. The auction currently sits at $35,500 with five days remaining; according to the post, though, a previous listing failed due to technical difficulties, and that one reached more than $52,000 before things went FUBAR. Second-gen CTS-Vs have been selling for between $33,000 and $64,500 on BaT this year — and not surprisingly, stick-shift wagons tend to be closer to the high end of that range.
