Own the Rolls-Royce That the Rat Pack, the Mafia and Their ‘Lady Friends’ All Partied In

This Rolls-Royce went from coast to coast and partied the whole damn time.

This 1977 Rolls-Royce Camargue has seen…a lot. Sammy Davis Jr. and his Rat Pack friends probably — definitely? — saw many a crazy night within its hand-built coachwork (read: coke and sex). The second best part about this Rolls is that it’s going up for auction next month for an estimated $39,000–$46,000 (by our estimation, probably the equivalent of one scotch- and blow-fueled debaucherous Rat Pack evening about town).

Gifted to Sammy Davis Jr. by Old Blue Eyes, himself, this Rolls no doubt saw some never-ending nights on the Vegas Strip and Hollywood Boulevard, but the good times didn’t stop there. The vehicle history report says Davis Jr.’s car made it to the East Coast and ended up in the hands of a prominent Mafia boss, who changed the original two-tone Tudor Red and Mason’s Black paint job to a full Mason’s black livery and added blacked-out windows. But in all likelihood, the Rolls saw the same kind of fun out east.

It’s an affordable piece of Americana that can be yours; just make your way to the Bonhams’ Amelia Island auction on March 9.
