Land Rover is celebrating 30 years of being on US soil with the new 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic, on sale this month. It’ll come with the same 5.0-liter V8 as the Range Rover Sport SVR, which means it’ll use 500 lb-ft of torque to get from 0–60 in 5.1 seconds. Pretty damn impressive for a 16-foot luxury SUV that weighs 6,834 pounds.

What might be equally impressive, though, is just how much the Range Rover has evolved over its 48-year lifespan. Land Rover made a short animation showing just that, highlighting design features and first-to-market tech introduced on the Range Rover. Here’s to the next half century.
