With a production count of only 500 this week’s Fixation, the 2011 BMW 750Li Alpina B7 is a BMW guaranteed to do less blending and more asphalt igniting. A driver’s coach for the driving enthusiast. Alpina, an oft misunderstood variation of BMW (the 80’s come to mind…) has made massive strides in their 45 years of bespoke coach making. With a full-backing (and warranty) from BMW, Alpina produces signature BMW variants from a diesel 3 series to the long wheelbase 750Li.
Honing BMW’s bi-turbo 4.4 litre V8 to the tune of 500 horsepower and 516 lb ft of torque good for a 0-60mph sprint, Alpina does far more than just turn up the boost. An optional new all-wheel drive system, electronic suspension with active roll stabilization, brakes from BMW’s armored series, beefed-up drivetrain, transmission from a 7.5 ton truck, 21″ signature Alpina wheels, lower ride height, round out some of the key upgrades. The signature bespoke interior features myrtle burl wood, and reconfigured instrument gauges in Alpina’s signature blue. Frankly, there’s not enough space to dive into all the technical details or presence so we’ll let the gallery after the jump do all the drool-inducing for you.
