The new Mazda Miata is a fantastic little car; this much we know. But one edition of the car that’s always eagerly anticipated is the lightened Speedster. With a deleted roof and liberal use of carbon fiber, Mazda were able to drop a further 250 pounds.

Ridge Racer

Usually a car company will unveil a car, then later down the line, turn it into a race car. Honda chose to do the opposite at this year’s SEMA, introducing the new Honda Ridgeline race truck, showing off key features of the as-of-yet-unvailed unveiled road-going Ridgeline.

The Genesis of Genesis

Following in the footsteps of Honda and Toyota, with Acura and Lexus respectively, Hyundai announced that Genesis will spin off as the manufacturer’s dedicated luxury brand. With the company’s seventh straight drop in quarterly profit, they need it to be a success.

A Long Time Coming

The successor to the now 10-year-old Bugatti Veyron was spotted in Northern Italy. Not much is known about the specs, but early rumors say north of 1,400 horsepower and a top speed close to 290 mph. Design-wise, you can see where Achim Anscheidt pulled from the Bugatti Vision GT.

Jorge Lorenzo Takes It All

After incurring penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct in Malaysia (he knocked Marquez off his bike), Rossi started from the back of the grid, aiding Lorenzo’s title chances. Although Rossi was able to claw up to fourth, it wasn’t enough, and Lorenzo took the win after a quick battle with Marquez to become the 2015 MotoGP world champion.
