Caterham F1 Receives Millions Through Crowdfunding
Cowdfunding is all the rage these days — all the way up to F1 teams. Caterham, beleaguered and taken over by administrators, is selling off team “merchandise” to entice donations to make payments. Team merchandise ranges from branded shirts to driver gloves to the front wing to the 2010 season challenger and even the odd exhaust manifold. The First Comet Landing
The European Space Agency has landed a probe on a damn comet. After ten years, which included three gravitational slingshots from Earth and one from Mars, two asteroid flybys and one stint in Deep Space Hibernation, the 220-pound Philae probe landed on the comet some 310 million miles from Earth and began its mission of analyzing the comet’s composition. NASA scientist Jim Green compared the Philae’s success to “hitting a golf ball and trying to land it on the moon”. cnn.com

Ken Block’s at it Again
He has torn up Universal Studios and hooned all over the hills of San Fran. Now Ken Block has taken to the streets of LA for much anticipated Gymkhana 7. This time around he’s ditched his rally cross-bred Ford Fiesta for a first-of-its-kind 845-hp AWD ’65 Ford Mustang and dubbed it the Hoonicorn. Chevy’s Vision Gran Turismo
Chevy isn’t really known for its groundbreaking concept cars, but when it comes to the Gran Turismo Vision party no one wants to be left out in the cold. Some speculated that Chevy is hinting at future design language (possibly Corvette C8 cues). What is for certain is that the Vision harks back to Chaparral racers from the ’60s and ’70s. autoblog.com
