New Balance Made in UK Allerdale
First released early 2025, the divisive — and slightly stodgy — Made in UK Allerdale takes on a rugged aesthetic, thanks to a brown suede upper that “leans into the silhouette’s outdoor-inspired influences,” the brand says. The shoe features modern technology, including FuelCell cushioning and Ortholite insoles, but comes across as a vintage walking shoe that draws upon the history and heritage of Flimby, Cumbria, England, where all “Made in UK” New Balance shoes are made.

Garmin Forerunner 970
The Garmin Forerunner 970 is the company’s new “best of the best” GPS running watch for 2025. Compared to previous Forerunners, the 970 has the “brightest AMOLED screen yet,” according to the brand. It also has a built-in microphone and speaker — a first for the Forerunner line — so you can answer calls right from your wrist during runs. The Forerunner 970 comes in one size: 47mm. (For those looking for a similar but more affordable option, check out Garmin’s Forerunner 570, which is also new for 2025.)

iFi Up Travel
The iFi Up Travel is a portable Bluetooth travel adapter from the British-based hi-fi company. It works as a transmitter and a receiver. This means you can plug it into an in-flight entertainment system and stream audio to your wireless headphones, but you can also plug it into an old car’s audio system and play music from your smartphone. It also has a high-quality DAC and supports high-resolution codecs, including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency and LDAC files.

Wellen Airweave Performance Camp Collar Shirt
Wellen took the perforated polyester mesh fabric commonly found in fishing shirts and outdoor apparel and made it into a short-sleeved camp collar shirt that can be worn in casual daily life. The Austin, TX-based company knows how to deal with the heat, and this is about as breathable as a button-down shirt can get without becoming transparent. It comes in a cactus pattern in black and khaki, solid light blue and sea foam green and a tonal blue texture.
