Barbour’s Classic Waxed Canvas Just Showed Up Where You’d Least Expect It

Crocs and Barbour don’t have a ton in common, but that didn’t prevent the two brands from putting together this footwear collaboration. The Classic RO Clog features Barbour’s signature waxed cotton on the toe, mudguard and front strap, while the shoe’s rear strap is made of corduroy to mimic the collars of the English brand’s famous jackets. The upper also boasts a pattern styled after Barbour’s tartan lining. In addition to the clog, Barbour also lends its style to a version of Croc’s Classic Boot that eschews waxed cotton and corduroy in favor of an all-over tartan pattern. The boots retail for €90 (~$97), while the clogs go for €80 (~$87).

The LA-based sustainable apparel brand founded by 11-time world champion surfer Kelly Slater spent three years working with Bureo to develop the first-ever four-way stretch board shorts made from their NetPlus material crafted from post-consumer recycled fishing nets. Ultimately consisting of 90 percent recycled NetPlus nylon and 10 percent spandex, these trunks don’t compromise performance. Highlights include improved no-slip braided drawcords, a better waistband that cinches without bunching and stitch-free seams that boost comfort and minimize chafe. Available now in several colorways, the 19-inch Apex Evolution boardies will be joined by 17-inch versions next month.
