The Most Iconic Adventure Tripod Just Got Even Better, Thanks to a Legendary Outdoor Photographer

The original Travel Tripod, Peak Design’s very first Kickstarter project, was an instant game changer upon its launch six years ago. The long-awaited sequel, available in three sizes and designed in collaboration with legendary adventure photographer and filmmaker Jimmy Chin, takes things to a whole new level. Highlights include a lightweight carbon fiber body, fully CNC-machined hub, flanged center column and increased leg diameter and length, with twice the stability (40lb capacity vs. 20lb) and up to a 30 percent greater deployment height (197.4cm on the Pro Tall model). Another huge upgrade is the redesigned Pro Ball Head, which offers fluid panning, 15 degrees of adjustment and a new ARCA-compatible quick-lock for a secure and seamless camera connection. With the Tilt Mod accessory (sold separately), the Pro Ball Head becomes a fluid pan and tilt unit for shooting pro-level video too.

The British Columbia-based rugged gear carry and storage stalwart returns to Kickstarter to launch the third-generation of its gloriously overbuilt EDC/adventure bag. Available in three sizes (15L, 30L and 50L), the Waterproof Tote is made of 840D TPU-coated nylon with RF-welded seams that are watertight and durable. The mouth opens wide for easy packing and seals tight with a 420D double-coated roll-top closure that folds flat when not in use. Additional features include internal and external stash pockets, a silicone padded shoulder strap and (of course) compatibility with RUX’s component ecosystem of cubes, gear pockets and the classic 70L gear hauler.

Bremont’s signature dive watch is built to handle the most extreme aquatic adventures. The 43mm wide and 13mm thick case is made of corrosion-resistant 904L steel and is 500 m water resistant. It runs on the in-house caliber BB64AH automatic movements with a 56-hour power reserve and is available on a sheel folding-clasp bracelet, a rubber dive strap or a nylon NATO strap.
