Sun Surf Hawaiian Hula Holo Holo Shirt
Japanese shirt company Sun Surf has built an archive of authentic Hawaiian Aloha Shirts from the 1930s through the 1950s and dutifully replicates them down to the exact fabric, cut and dying techniques. The brand is dedicated to honoring the early twentieth century’s Japanese and Hawaiian cultural exchange, manifested in the iconic shirt style. This one is based on an example from the 1940s made by a brand called Holo Holo.
