Maybe the latter is our hot take because it hasn’t cooled interest in 1X, which raised $100 million in funding on Neo’s back. The brand says it “designs androids that work alongside people, to meet the world’s labor demands,” and specifically built Neo with a humanoid figure citing benefits like the ability to communicate nonverbally. Is Neo is the stuff of nightmares or a catalyst for a more leisure-filled future? Only time will tell.
