Abu Dhabi is preparing to welcome the world’s largest man-made wave. Surf Abu Dhabi will be powered by the Kelly Slater Wave Company, and aims to create, “the world’s longest ride, biggest barrel, and largest man-made wave pool.” It will be located on Hudayriat Island, and the team aims to complete it by December 2023. That said, there’s no word on when the wave pool will actually open to the public; but fans can check out the very first aerial footage of the new pool here.
