Mercedes plans to team up with Space Perspective to play its own part in bringing fans to space. The company has announced plans to provide electric Maybach vehicles that can transport Space Perspective Explorers to their space ‘flights.’ These ‘flights’ take place in the carbon-neutral ‘Space Perspective Spaceship Neptune,’ which uses a SpaceBalloon to gently lift occupants to 100,000 feet above the earth in a pressurized capsule. During each six-person flight, fans will enjoy a meal and cocktail service. Individual spots are priced at $125,000.
