For some, the impending Land Cruiser seemed like the most exciting release Toyota could possibly dream up. Nevertheless, the brand seems committed to shocking fans even further, and recently unveiled a roughly $169,000 SUV. Positioned as a likely rival to the Bentley Bentayga, the new luxury SUV was developed especially for chauffeur driving. For now, the new Toyota Century will remain a Japan-only release, with the brand currently only planning to create 30 units per month.

Today we’re taking a look at Alba Optics, Adler Axes and The North Face’s Gore Denim Pack. This is Today in Gear.

Alba Optics is known for creating premium eyewear, but now, it’s taking that legacy to the next level. The brand’s Delta Ultra ($196) and Mantra ($207) sunglasses are both handmade in Italy. The Mantra glasses are built with a single-piece, unbending frame, while the Delta Ultra performance shades offer 360° panoramic views. Fans can find a long list of full product specs for each release below, which only cement the brand as an absolute sunglass-making powerhouse.

The new collection includes three standout styles and is centered around a water repellant GORE-TEX denim fabric. Street-forward, the capsule includes an updated take on the brand’s ’92 Reversible Nuptse ($380), Men’s GTX Mountain Jacket ($450) and Men’s GTX Mountain Pant ($250). Each piece is finished with a non-PFC DWR for added water repellency, and adorned with smart features like stowable hoods, hook-and-loop cuffs and secure-zip back pockets.

Fans can now shop three brand new axes: The Canoe Axe ($94), the Rheinland Hatchet ($84) and the Long Splitter Axe ($139). While the first two promise a bit more portability, the standout here has to be the Long Splitter Axe. Its all-purpose wedge-shaped blade is made from C45 steel, and its stable, shock-absorbing handle is made from hickory sourced in the US. As with all of the brand’s axes, the Splitter is proudly made in Germany.

Dickies Dropped Paisley-Forward Workwear

Dickies took some of its most iconic silhouettes, like its Duck Canvas Jacket, Pants and Overalls, and re-released them in a decorative floral paisley. Both men’s and women’s styles are now available in a light tan or dark brown print. For those new to the brand, Dickie’s duck canvas material is a tightly woven cotton that’s widely celebrated for its premium strength and durability.

Prepare to Pack Up Your Outdoor Gear

If you’re getting ready to pack up extra pots, soil or other gardening gear; consider Dometic. The brand’s GO Hard Storage 50L ($150) is a compact, weatherproof bin you can stuff to the brim with outdoor lights and other smaller outdoor gear. It’s a great solution for a smaller space, where you don’t need a huge plastic outdoor bin — and it’s way more attractive. Of course, you can always tote it out on your next camp trip, and pair it with the brand’s wide roundup of soft storage solutions.
