Old Pulteney recently released the oldest whisky ever. The 45-year single malt spent over 40 years in American oak barrels, before transitioning to first-fill Spanish Oak butts for its last five. The result? A whisky lined with notes of leather and nut, plus hints of dried pineapple, sandalwood and myrrh. Named the ‘Bow Wave,’ one bottle of the whisky is to be sold at the Distiller’s ‘One of One’ auction on October 5 (in partnership with Sothebys).

Aether Launched Its First Watch

The Aether + Bamford GMT ($2,500) is a Swiss-made, limited edition model. The automatic GMT watch is powered by a self-winding Sellita SW330-2 movement and 25 jewels. It was initially constructed with travel in mind, and comes equipped with a 56-hour power reserve, date window and second time zone. The dial features a topographical map pattern designed to match an adjustable dark blue NATO strap.

You Don’t Need a Motorcycle License For This Electric Motorcycle

The new X-OTO ($7,499) is a three-wheeled electric motorcycle. It’s designed to ‘lean,’ and taps a patented system to allow users to lean up to 45 degrees while driving. Self-stabilizing and notably easier to ride than a two-wheeled motorcycle, the device is powered by a 4,000W front hub motor. Fans in the X-OTO’s home state of California won’t need a motorcycle license to ride the vehicle (because it’s three-wheeled), but laws may vary from state to state.

Beats Announced the Studio Pro

The New Beats Studio Pro ($350) are the company’s very first pair of wireless noise-canceling headphones. The successor to the brand’s 2017 Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones, the new product comes with six years worth of internal upgrades. An LA-Based Whiskey?

Beverly High Rye wants to ‘change the face of American whiskey.’ The brand was founded by Andrew Borenzweig, a Los Angeles native who believes the spirit can ‘elevate the modern occasion.’ Borenzweig partnered with Cedar Ridge Head Distiller Murphy Quint to create a rich, majority-rye whiskey, made from straight rye and straight bourbon. Not to be confused with a traditional rye, the spirit offers black pepper and lemon oil on the nose, and sweet caramel and vanilla on the palate.

Olympia Provisions

Olympia Provisions is known not only for its delicious patés, pickles and meats; but also for a sustainable focus on regenerative agriculture and building relationships with small farmers.
