Ribbit, a new Canadian air cargo startup, has announced plans to test self-flying planes in remote parts of Canada. Set to take place over the next 12 months, the autonomous test flights will initially use small two-passenger airplanes. Ultimately, Ribbit’s goal is to create safe self-flying planes that can service rural and remote areas. In turn, this would allow the company to provide reliable next-day or two-day service to these areas, and improve larger supply chain issues.
