Norwegian cruise line Hurtigruten has announced a new fully electric cruise ship that could completely transform the cargo ship game. Back in 2019, the company released the first hybrid cruise ship called the MS Roald Amundsen. Now, it plans to build on that legacy by releasing a new fully electric model by 2030. The proposed ship is expected to come with zero carbon emissions, and will build on a full collection of new electric models. Notably, one is expected to arrive with three autonomous sails that will be fit with 1,500 square meters of solar panels.
